On Sunday 25th September 2022 hundreds of people gathered at the National Shrine of Our Lady of Lourdes, Carfin in Motherwell, Scotland to pre-empt the feast of St Vincent de Paul, which the Universal Church celebrates on 27th September. At the celebration, there were representative from all the groups who have St Vincent as their founder or patron – the Daughters of Charity, the Society of St Vincent de Paul, the AIC, the Congregation of the Mission plus staff and service users of DC Services – the Space in Glasgow and St Joseph’s Service in Rosewell, near Edinburgh. Mrs Liz Ann O’Hare led the deaf choir who beautifully signed the sung parts of the Mass. The main celebrant and homilist was Fr Paul Roche CM

On 28th October 2025 the two Missions of Kenya and Tanzania will merge to become the new Region of East Africa. Mass was celebrated to mark this wonderful new, life-giving venture in the history of the Company in East Africa. Sister Françoise Petit, (Superioress General) Sister Julie Kubasak and Sister Theresa Eke (General Councillors)travelled to Kenya for the celebrations. It was agreed that a new Region should be established as part of the Irish Province. This new region will be under the patronage of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal. Recently, after consultation, Sr Liz Smith was appointed as the new Regional Superior for the Region of East Africa .
